Transport- and Technical History Review

The The Hungarian Museum of Science, Technology and Transport publishes important studies on the history of transport and technology year after year in its own scientific journal.

The The Hungarian Museum of Science, Technology and Transport considers it a priority to show its rebirth in scientific life as well. With the publication of the Transport- and Technical History Review as a scientific journal, the Museum intends to be a scientific workshop on the history of transport and technology. In addition to the scientific staff of our institution, we feel honored that the researchers of other research institutes and universities also strengthen the professional standard and with this our Museum can be organically connected to the scientific circulation.

With the publication of the Review, we also aim to compile volumes that can be interesting for a narrower, professional audience, but we also aim to offer interesting and high-quality content to those interested outside the field at the same time. Therefore, we are proud to enrich the texts of the studies published in the Review with visual sources that have become available through the digitization of our collections and provide a unique insight into the history of transport and technology.

The first volume of the Review was published in 2018, and since then it is enriched with one issue each year. In 2020, we made a thematic issue, because we see that a topic can be more detailed, with more authors and more studies, and can better emphasize the scientific work of our institution.
